* Note: Data are shown only for schools and years in which fewer minorities or women were on the faculty than would reasonably be expected based on their availability as determined from the NSF Survey of Earned Doctorates in the appropriate fields (i.e., those of the extant faculty) and the AAMC Medical Faculty report. The data are based on UCI's faculty workforce as of October 31 of each year. The four minority groups considered are African American/Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic and American Indian/Alaskan Native or the total of these four.
